SMB regression | Unable to move past authentication window (username with blank password) for accessing files over network.

Description

Am unable to access files on computer via Local Network. VLC detects and shows the computer on SMB network but gets stuck in an authentication loop and doesn't allow access to shared folders. I enter user name and leave the password blank (since the account doesn't have any password set) in the authentication section but VLC doesn't accept or move past it.

Refer to #744 (closed). Appears to be a regression from beta-2.
