VLC Forgets where it got to

Heya

When pausing the VLC app from playing audiobooks and doing other things on the phone after a while it will disappear from notifications area. When tabbing back to VLC it will have stopped the currently playing book and forgotten where it got to, instead displaying the root directories. When browsing back to get book previously listened to it will simply start it from the beginning again.

Is there a way to make it remember?
