Audio: 'Songs' list says 'No Media Files Found...' but other lists are OK
VLC v.3.0.10 on Android 8.0.0
VLC has read my mobile music collection (MP3, FLAC, and a few AAC) off my SD card, and when I come to browse it under 'Audio', I can see and browse by 'Artists', 'Albums', and 'Genres', and I can see and play the tracks for the entries in those categories.
But under the 'Songs' category, it just says 'No media files found, please transfer some files to your device or adjust your preferences'.
This happens whether I let VLC do its default scan of everything on the phone, or whether I restrict it to the 'Music' folder on the SD card. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but no dice. This is annoying, as I often like to play from all tracks, shuffled.
I can see and play the full list of tracks by selecting the SD card music folder via 'Directories', but it's not so convenient.
Any suggestions?
