RIST Simple Profile receiver fed by non-RIST RTP emitter?
Hi,
I've been having a play with the helper tools (ristsender , ristreceiver) and it's been super easy thanks to clear documentation, thank you!
I just have a question about a particular use-case and whether RIST would be suitable.
If a we implemented a RIST receiver but the sender was just normal RTP, could the receiver accept this data, correct re-ordered packets and output as RTP?
It looks like it doesn't work Received data packet (167848130) but handshake is still pending (waiting for an RTCP packet with SDES on it), ignoring ... but I wondered if there was some option to bypass the handshake (sacrificing the packet re-request feature of course). Or perhaps this would violate the RIST spec?
(I have tested RIST sender to RTP receiver, and this works great)
