A try for bug fix: subtitle's shadow function doesn't work issue addressing relates to the subtitle rendering setting in VLC where users can enable or disable "shadow" — similar to the drop shadow effect seen in YouTube subtitles. Despite this option being available, the shadow effect doesn't appear regardless of outlines
