vlc 2.1.1 does not play flac audio properly

Hello, I was prompted to upgrade from vlc 2.1.0 to 2.1.1. I did so using the build in upgrader. But after the upgrade i had trouble playing flac audio files. I get gliches as it tries to sync with the audio stream. Basically I hear clicks specailly at the start of the audio, which seems to dissaper after a while. to rectify the problem I unstalled 2.1.1 and downloaded the 2.1.1.exe and installed it again just to make sure. The problem was still there.

So I went back to version 2.1.0 and the problem dissapeared. So i have gone back to using an older version of VLC and it works fine.

So there is a problem playing flac files (I did not try .WAV files), using vlc 2.1.1

I am using a up to date windows 7 (with all the latest patches) and am using a USB dac/headphone amp. But i'm sure this problem would still occur on normal headphones connected to the computer directly.

I not too woried because I'm quite happy with 2.1.0, but I thought I'd tell you about the problem with 2.1.1 playing flac audio files
