EBU STL titles are displayed in the middle of the screen and a newline is ignored

Using todays build (from a ppa:videolan/master-daily ) on Ubuntu, EBU STL subtitles are loaded but they are displayed in the middle of the screen and a newline is ignored. See this image: http://imgur.com/M3YyxIP

Any stl titles do this.
