File Convert does not work under Windows

With VLC 2.1.0 Rincewind: File convert (CTRL+R) does not work for local file using Windows.

I selected this MP4 video file to convert to MP3 audio: "D:\Kenstuff\Curtis Mayfield - Superfly (Full Album).mp4"

but the next screen says the source file is: "file://D:/Kenstuff/Curtis Mayfield - Superfly (Full Album).mp4"

Notice this is "internet" syntax or linux syntax (forward slashes), not Windows local PC syntax. So, I presume that is why it doesn't work.

I selected the destination file as: "D:\Kenstuff\Curtis Mayfield - Superfly.mp3"

I have not tried converting other types of files, just this one.
