"Use Native Fullscreen" buggy in OSX 10.9 GM

Using clean-installed OSX 10.9 GM, and latest VLC 2.1. If "Use Native Fullscreen" is checked, when VLC is exited (even if vlc was not opened in fullscreen or never put into fullscreen after opening it), the OSX desktop switches over to an "empty" fullscreen desktop and then back to the main desktop very quickly and then the dock gets stuck in auto-hide mode until I log off. This happens every time I open VLC.
