mac os x 10.6.8 / vlc 2.10 / flac playback crash

vlc crashes when i play a .flac file. using mac os x snow leopard 10.6.8. no error message, or any warning it just turns off. (never reported bug before, hope im doing it right, and thanks for vlc)
