VLC 2.1 Problem with High Definition WTV Recordings

When I open a High Definition (H264) WTV Recording (recorded with Windows Media Center) with the new VLC 2.1 it nicely starts to play the recording. But as soon as I try to move to another position of the recording by moving the bar at the bottom of the player VLC immediatly stops playing. As if I would have pressed the Stop button. Problem only with High Definition Recordings. All my normal recordings play without problem.
