VLC hangs when closing after playing UPnP content from a DLNA media server

I noticed this problem since VLC 2.0.6 at least in windows7-64 both x64/x86 vlc versions. Still present on newer versions 2.0.8.

Requirements - DLNA media server on the network (like serviio)

Go to VLC playlist - Local Network - Universal plugnplay.

Play any kind of content from the media server (music/audio - video - youtube playlists whatever) Doesnt matter if you stop the content or not, but if you close VLC now it hangs and the processor usage spikes to maximum, even at the risk of overheating the cpu.

Since this occurs with any kind of content and the fact that it occurs even if the content is stopped, it's probably not related with codecs.

Feels like the process hangs in some ui-less infinite loop that only happens if you play this kind of content.

Should not be that hard to fix.
