This issue seems to be fixed :) I can play back the example file given, using VLC v2.0.8 without problems.

THis is not fixed/unfixed. It depends of using FFmpeg vs libav

I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying. Is VLC using FFmpeg's or Libav's libraries? And was this changed between v2.0.6 (which caused this bug) and v2.0.8?

Thanks for fixing this. I wanted to ask what you mean about your note regarding "that many RGB formats"? FFV1 can do RGB, but its main use case is for handling lossless YUV.
