VLC always uses discrete graphics on MacBook Pro Retina

VLC always uses the discrete graphics on my MacBook. You can see this if you install an app like gfxCardStatus. If I force the MacBook to use "integrated only", VLC still runs fine, but it seems like VLC should be defaulting to this, or at least provide an option to prefer integrated graphics.

Note that MplayerX also uses the integrated graphics, and works fine (but it doesn't play DVDs).

Tried the nightly build, and the bug is still there.

Someone already mentioned it a few months ago here, but apparently didn't file a bug report: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=107338
