VLC detunes audio
Songs are detuned in the beginning or just after I skip in the song, for about 10 seconds.
It is VLC which does this strange thing, Windows media player and Itunes are playing them fine. It is most notable in songs I have made myself because there are few and long tones/sounds in the beginning. However I have heard it happen to my professional music too.
Known to happen on: Win7 32 and 64bit and WinXP. Latest version of VLC 2.0.5, as well as nightly build 2.0.6, compiled March 19th, and some versions before. Codecs as mp3, flac and perhaps most notable in ogg audio files. Tested with files a few kb large and up to 20 MB, 1411kbps
I am not the only one with the problem. The post by Symen includes samples the way vlc detunes the audio as well as the original audio in three different formats: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=42436
