Screen Capture crashing on Mac OS X 10.7.5 using today's vlc-2.1.0-x86_64-20130306-0111.zip

Sorry if this is a duplicate but I'm taking Felix advice and doing the trac thing. I'm able to get a little further then a couple months ago but still not successful. My system is a 13-inch 2010 Macbook Pro with: Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

I'm also attaching the crash log with my install info, etc.

Reproduction steps:

1. Launch VLC
2. File > Open Capture Device...
3. Change Input Devices to "Screen"
4. Leave default values for first screen
5. Click Streaming/Saving checkbox
6. Click Settings
7. Choose MPEG 4 for Encapsulation Method
8. Click Video box and choose h264 and 3072 bitrate for Transcoding Options
9. Save to desktop the file vlc-output.mp4
10. Click OK to dismiss the second window
11. Click Open to dismiss first window at which point it will immediately crash
