Subtitles incredibly small on Linux without fontconfig.

Since upgrading from vlc-2.0.3 to 2.0.5, subtitles are incredibly tiny. They're just a few pixels tall at the bottom of the screen so completely unreadable. I tried changing the font and the font size in Preferences but the size didn't change perceptibly even after restarting vlc.
