UPnP/DLNA with numerous media files fails with UPNP_E_OUTOF_BOUNDS

I can see only servernames, and not play contents files. on mint14 64bit. (running properly on mint13 32bit)

A month ago, Their application was running properly. both OSes.

From the duplicate bug (8661) the reporter was using Rygel as the UPNP server.

I am also running Rygel 0.14.3 as the UPNP server on Raspian. I'm seeing the same issue with VLC version 2.1.5. The UPNP server name is displayed, but no content is shown under that server. Older versions of VLC worked fine with the same version of Rygel.

There may be more useful info in the duplicate bug (8661).

I'm seeing similar issues using minidlna (readymedia) 1.1.4.

It seems to be that long responses are what cause this.

In my case the HTTP response body containing the outer XML document (soap envelope) is 26030 bytes.

The inner XML document is 25631 bytes (23291 bytes when unescaped).

The comments in the posts below seem to imply that unless VLC specifically requests it, the pupnp SDK will get upset if the document is longer than 16000 bytes, rejecting the document with UPNP_E_OUTOF_BOUNDS:

Closing as the UPnP module was rewritten for 3.0

Please reopen if it still doesn't work with a 3.0 nightly build
