A proposal for a new VLC bookmarks implementation

The present VLC bookmarks implementation suffers from the following problems:

• it needs 5 or 3 actions to place a bookmark and as much to start the play of a bookmark
• the shortkey to open the Edit Bookmark window does not work in Full Screen
• trying to open the Edit Bookmark window using the context menu in Full screen does not work if the Edit Bookmark list is empty
• consequently it is not possible to place a bookmark in "flight" when watching a video
• the list of bookmarks is not user friendly since it does not display thumbnails which could be very usefull to identify quickly the bookmark you like to play Consequently you will find attached a pdf file describing a detailed proposal for a totally new VLC implementation of the Bookmarks features. The proposed solution will provide a more efficient interface for the user, allowing to set bookmarks on the flight without opening several menu levels and it will also provide an efficient way to select and play a bookmark.
