"Add to Playlist" from library adds multiple times

I am running Windows 7 x64 on a Compaq Presario CQ62 using a new installation of VLC 2.0.1. I have my media library stored on an external hard drive, which has never given me problems before. Every time I open my media library and select a file and "add to playlist", once I look at the playlist, the file is on it exactly 11 times, no more no less. This occurs with ALL media that I try to add to playlist from the library, whether stored externally or not. I realize that a ticket has been opened for a similar problem before on 2.0.0, however that ticket was closed as "fixed" but the problem is obviously not fixed.
