playback control bar issues; playback quality issues

problem is that generally when playing all video file types apart from flv at the start the video is quite juddery. also, when running any video file type apart from flv in fullscreen, the playback/volume control bar keeps flashing in and out at high speed although i am still able to use the playback controls. finally, in very dark scenes, faint grey horizontal lines appear across the screen. these problems are specific to the latest update 2.0.1- i ran 2.0.0 on the same computer before with absolutely no problems. resetting preferences no use.
