DirectX Windows No audio devices ( no longer supports multiple devices)

Goto to preferences , select output module "directx" , on a windows 7 pc with 3 audio devices none appear in the drop down as did in 2.0 and earlier. Also the commandline support for this dissapeared in 2.0.1. Older versions had this support. We have a produce using VLC that depends on this , I hope a new release w/ this support is forthcoming. Wish I was a C guy I'd gladly help.
