Crash (segfault) when dropping a file to the playlist window of the skinned VLC (svlc) in Mageia Linux 2 (Cauldron)

When I start svlc (the skinned VLC) in a new UNIX user account, and drop a file to it from KDE 4's konqueror, it crashes immediately. The regular /usr/bin/vlc handles drag and drop from konqueror fine. I tried it with many types of files: mp3, flv - all are crashing it. I'm using svlc-2.0.1-1.mga2.tainted on Mageia Linux 2/Cauldron.
