laptop audio output coming in speakers instead of headset for vlc only after upgrade to 2.0.1

i have upgraded my vlc player to 2.0.1.

My laptop details are as below:

Model:Dell Studio 1535,Audio:2 ports,MIC:1 port.

Problem:in one audio port sound coming from laptop inbuilt speakers instead of headphones connected to it.In the case when i connected the same for another audio port the sound was coming from head phones.

This behaviour is only for VLC.

I was able to hear sound through head set from all other players like:windows media player,media player classic,gnome player,adobe flash player
