mkv demux error

I am using gentoo linux. previously, most mkv files play fine. after emerging, VLC started to have problem with playing in mkv format container with H.264 and DTS codecs.

Due to mkv bug, it looks gentoo does not update ebuild about matroska library from 1.2 to 1.3. I believe there are some significant bugs in matroska v1.3.

current symptom are when mkv library v1.3 are used, both vlc and mplayer crash. when mkv library v1.2 are used, only vlc has problem with distorted and static noise in entire mkv file. not crashing

I think VLC trying to read wrong encoded audio blocks from cue while debuxing. I don't know much about how VLC is demuxing mkv container.
