Audio Playback Device Settable by Control Panel

Since version 2.0.1 and in the 2.1 nightly build, VLC no longer adapts when the default playback device changes.

To reproduce:

Play a video in VLC.
Change the default playback device using (control panel->sound->playback)
VLC continues to use the prior default device.

As mentioned VLC used to track the current default device. I don't know if this change was intended or is a bug. If intended it would be nice to be able to select the device from VLC.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
