Playlist columns reset to default after reboot

Whenever I reboot my computer, the VLC playlist columns are always in their default positions, showing the Title, Duration, and Album, then I only want the Title and Duration, and I want them both to be a specific width. However, this seems to always reset after rebooting.

I use VLC for both audio and video, and I suspect that something about sometimes using it for one, and othertimes using it for another, and changing the window size or something may be causing this behaviour, but I'm not sure. Perhaps the auto-size to fit a video's size? Again, not sure.

Despite the bug reports I've seen that say this is fixed, this has been a recurring bug for months for me, and I was hoping it would be fixed in version 2, but obviously that didn't happen.
