Full Screen Mode is Dark after Update to VLC 2.0.1

MacBook Pro, 15" aluminum, 2.2 GHz intel core duo, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics, connected in mirror mode to analog TV through dvi port adapter. Running VLC 2.0.0 Twoflower. Videos play in full screen mode fine and are scaled to the analog TV screen. After updating to VLC 2.0.1, screen is dark after entering full screen mode. Reverted to 2.0.0, full screen mode works as before.
