Wrong display size with DVB-T MPEG Transport Stream files

Hello

With VLC 2.0.0 and 2.0.1 (on Mac OS X 10.6.8), when I play one of the videos I had recorded with EyeTV and a Terratec Cinergy DT USB XS Diversity, they are displayed in letterbox 4:3 (with black borders at top and bottom). After choosing "Video / Aspect-ratio / Default" in the menu, the window size changes to 16:9 without the black borders. With VLC 1.x this files are displayed out of the box with the correct 16:9 window size.

This DVB-T streams are anamorph and the display window does switch between 4:3 and 16:9, depending on the content which is broadcasted.

Sample files (in 16:9) of the 5 Swiss DVB-T channels are available at http://superman.wenks.ch/vlc/ for download. Each file is around 50 MB and 2 minutes playtime.

bye

Fabian
