Rendering goes badly wrong, or fails completely, in MP4 and AVI
System: Win XP (latest) on an e-Machines 250 netbook (1.6Ghz, 1mb ram). Plenty of disk space. Wifi broadband.
Current version: Feb 17th 2012 3:18:47

Upgraded from 1.x today, to 2.x using your download page. When asked, I told it to keep my old settings.
Then the MP4 rendering would not work. The window either remains black with a few grey dots along the bottom, or is a mess of blocky colours which moves slowly, or it freezes after playing for half a second with the top half rendered ok and lime green on the bottom half, or some combination where it runs for a second then stops and goes wrong etc.
The superimposed filename is ok. The audio continues to play ok.
Further tests - WMV and FLV are fine. It goes wrong with any MP4. If the MP4 has a static image instead of video, it is fine. AVI also goes wrong, but I don't have many to test.
So I downgraded back to 1.x. Still doesn't work (it worked before I upgraded, and I use it every day). So I upraded to the latest nightly build. Still doesn't work.
