HTTP times out and fails to resume after long pause

This problem occurs when you're watching a movie in vlc over an http stream (the one only I've tested). If you pause the movie for a long period of time, rather than re-establish a new socket to the http server vlc plays the buffer out then stops the playback of the media file.

I don't believe that this is intended, and it's a minor problem. Although it's quite annoying when you just want to pause for 20 minutes and continue watching.

I've found that browsing to a nearby location in the video playback will cause a new connection and the playback will continue without any trouble even after being paused for a long time.
