VLC ActiveX control does not accept options
Hi, I am using the latest version(1.1.9) of the activeX plugin for an internal Web site. It works fine in that I can use it to stream, play a local media file such as wmv, play live tv (using hauppauge usb tv stick). However, when it comes to capturing the line in (composit) from the tv stick, I can't get it to work correctly. Typically, no matter what I supply in the options parameter of the add.playlist() method they seem to be ignored, thus running with default settings. It captures the video input (probably because I only have one such device on my development PC) but no audio is played. I have seen various comments regarding the capture device name with spaces, the general workaround is to provide the name in quotes for which I have done.
If I specify the same options string in the VLC GUI or as a command line, the VLC captures the video and audio. So it is something to do with the Activex plugin. I have also experianced the same with build V1.1.6.
The options I am using are:
MRL: dshow://
Options: :dshow-vdev="WinTV HVR-900 Capture" :dshow-adev="WinTV HVR-900 Audio" :dshow-caching=200 :dshow-video-input=1
