VLC does not quit immediately

This is VLC Version 1.1.3 The Luggage (Intel 64bit) on Mac OS X 10.6.4 and the problem is always reproducible.

If you navigate to VLC by using application switching method: Command+TAB to get to VLC and hit Command+Q to quit, the VLC process does not exit until you release the Command key.

Also, if you attempt to quit VLC by right clicking on its dock icon and selecting Quit from the popup menu, the process does not exit immediately, until you click on something else, or your mouse enters VLC controller window.

I believe this a regression introduced in 1.1.2.
