1.1 regression: command line switch --zoom broken

I regularly used the command line switch --zoom=2 in vlc 1.0.6 to start a video in double size.

Though vlc 1.1.2 checks the menu entry video/zoom/2:1 when using this command line switch, the video display remains single size. I have to change it to 1:1 and then back to 2:1 to finally get double display size.
