Double-click takes 20secs ish to go fullscreen

I'm using vlc 1.1.0 RC3 build that is linked on here: http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/testing/vlc-1.1.0-rc3/win32/vlc-1.1.0-rc3-win32.exe

if i'm watching a video and double-click it it takes around 20secs to go fullscreen. vlc 1.0.5 goes fullscreen instantly, please fix this.
