Ctrl+H (minimal view) doesn't work when mouse hovered over video

When I hover my mouse over the VLC video, Ctrl+H to enter minimal view does not work. When I take my mouse out of the video screen, the hotkey works like it should.

Using Ubuntu (on KDE) 10.04 amd64, with VLC 1.0.6 Also present on x86. I've known of this bug FOREVER, and it is seriously annoying.

I also heard that any other Ctrl+ combinations don't work either when the mouse is on the video. Please fix!!! :(
