vlc unable to go backwards in ogv video and subtitles garbled

Hello,

I'm using vlc from vlc-1.0.5-2.fc12.i686 and vlc-core-1.0.5-2.fc12.i686 in Fedora 12, and while playing a ogv video trying to backwards jump with:

alt leftarrow, shift leftarrow, or ctrl leftarrow

the video instead jumps forward, and after the jump the video showed square artifacts by two or three seconds

also after the jump the kate subtitle displayed before the jump stays in the video garbling the subtitles display after the jump; only turning off the subtitles and turning on fixed them
