next/prev from JavaScript crashes mozilla vlc plugin

Calling next, previous, vlc.playlist.playItem(itemId) from JavaScript while a video is playing on the webplugin crashes VLC. The bug is spotted with test.html for the mozilla/firefox browser, but probably also exist in Internet Explorer and Safari
