4.0 regression: video pop-up menu needs two clicks

When video is embedded in the main UI on X11, the first time I click right on the video, the pop-up menu comes - correctly.

After that, I have to click twice to get it to show again - incorrectly.

The symptoms are identical in windowed and fullscreen modes. FWIW, I am using KDE/Plasma.
