Issue displaying Final Cut embedded CDP in CEA608/708
VLC will not display EIA-608 or EIA-708 embedded into a .MOV format video. Embedded CC will display properly in Quicktime and was tested with a number of codecs (h.264, Prores Proxy/LT/STD/HQ). Broadcast quality equipment used to embed closed captioning into RAW video feed and encoded using one of the codecs listed above.

I do see an error on what I believe is the track for CC:
