[Feature request] Ability to tonemap HDR content to SDR

The title says it all. I need a option to map HDR content to SDR since my screen does not have the gamut to view HDR (Using effects gets me only so far). It comes out overexposed or underexposed, sky is often white or everything is in white haze when I try moving contrast too much.

How might look after tonemapping (VLC 3.0 without HDR support)

It is nearly impossible to set filters so both highlights and shadows are visible for entirity of the video.
