Deinterlacing AVCi100 with yadif or yadifx2 corrupts picture

When playing an AVCi100 video (1920x1080i/25 10-bit yuv422 h.264 I-frame only) with yadif or yadifx2 deinterlace enabled in VLC 3.0.20 the video is badly corrupted.

The corruption does not happen with other deinterlace filters.

The corruption does not happen with most other file types I have available.

I have not yet narrowed down exactly what aspect of AVCi100 files is the issue.
