VLC to remember last directory used when opening file via Ctrl+O

I think two options could be implemented. 1st to remember last Open directory (open file) and then 2nd to set a custom path for VLC to always look in e.g. C:\my websites . The first option is the more important one - they would go nicely in Preferences>Interface
