This is a duplicate of your previous report #28432 (closed) which is already fixed for the forthcoming 3.0.21 release of VLC. We cannot change releases that we already published so version 3.0.20 will have the problem you described forever.

I hope this clarifies the situation for you. Version 3.0.21 will be released shortly next year and your VLC installation will offer you to update automatically.
