Remember last DVD player cue point when re-inserting DVD
I am using VLC as my DVD player of choice. Often I do pause watching a DVD in the middle of a movie, remove it from the drive, and some days later I put it back in and want to resume watching my movie from the point I suspended.
Unfortunately VLC does not remember the point where it has to resume the movie, so I have to go through the menues again, then fast-forward to the point where I think I paused last time. This is rather annoying and I think we could do better easily.
My proposal for a new feature would be that pausing or stopping or ejecting the DVD player should store the cue point of the currently playing movie into the user's profile using the DVD's ID. Whenever the same DVD is inserted into the DVD player again, it should lookup the DVD's ID in the user's profile. If it finds a cue point, it automatically cues the same movie at that restored cue point with any user activity needed (or it could ask if it shall do that).
This would make the usage of VLC as a DVD player much more convenient!
