How do I revert a 'permanently accepted' certificate of an 'insecure site' for VLC (Win 10)?

Hi, yesterday I created a reddit post on the VLC sub in which I described the following situation I need help with:

I was trying to check up on the status and stability of an IPTV livestream I frequently watch on my TV because it suddenly became unreachable a couple days prior. While doing so on my Win10 PC I accidentally 'permanently accepted' the certificate (instead of for 24h) to proceed past the 'insecure site' prompt.

I tried all the following things to revert it but to no avail:

  • looked through all the VLC folders
  • searched for the certificate in certmgr.msc and certlm.msc via the Microsoft Management Console
  • searched in the registry
  • reset VLC configuration (appdata folder deletion)
  • re-installed VLC
  • even set up a virtual machine to step-by-step delete all other certificates to see if it had any effect
  • skimmed over the firewall rules

Example #1 and #2 of how the 'insecure site' prompt looks like.

In the meantime I was able to locate the (what I think is the right) certificate, but whenever I deleted (or disabled) it would come back in some instances. And although I was seemingly able to keep it off my PC by repeatedly deleting it, the result for VLC stayed the same, the livestream mentioned before starts with no 'insecure site' prompt regardless.

And sorry in advance if it isn't the right place for these kinds of matters, I couldn't find anywhere else to ask (other than reddit).
