feature request: show title and author from XMP-metadata for photos

I often use VLC for a mixed slideshow with photos and videos, most of these photos contain metadata. Is it possible to show also the still image's "title - author" (from XMP or IPTC metadata) instead of the file name (similar to the Quicktime metadata for videos)? As far as I can see, VLC (version 3.0.18) is only showing the file name of still images. If I edit title or author (with Ctrl-I) I can already make them being displayed temporarily, but VLC does not extract them from file. Extracting XMP:title / XMP:creator from the file and assigning the values to Quicktime:title / Quicktime:artist (e.g. using ExifTool by Phil Harvey) might do the job.

This would give a very nice self-explaining slide show in VLC. Thanks for consideration !
