VLC won't Open Network Stream if YouTube URL

VLC 3.0.18 Vetinari on Windows 10 64-bit

VLC refuses to play YouTube video streams.

Luckily, I found a workaround on YouTube (5-minute watch):

Step 1 ‒ Go to https://github.com/videolan/vlc/blob/master/share/lua/playlist/youtube.lua

Step 2 ‒ Right-click the Raw button and select Save Link As... from the context menu.

Step 3 ‒ Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\playlist (if you changed the installation folder use your intelligence)

Step 4 ‒ Click the Save button. Done!

P.S. According to the YouTube video, this bug was present in VLC 3.0.12.

This should be fixed in 3.0.19

Until 3.0.19 is out, some tutorials online say to replace the lua file in C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\playlist if you're on a 32-bit system.
