VLC MacOS not loading subtitles by default when in playlist
I'm comparing the behaviour on Mac (v3.0.17) vs Linux or Windows and it seems like there is a bug. When an SRT file is in the same folder as a video file and has the same name, it should be loaded automatically but it is not. The subtitles are recognised and listed in the Subtitles track menu, and can be activated from there, but they are disabled by default. I'm pretty sure it was not like this before. I looked extensively in the settings but cannot find an option to enable or disable this behaviour (note this is not about recognising the subtitles, they are found, just disabled).
