Audio interrupts 3 to 4 times after unpausing video (Linux Mint)

Updated to latest Linux Mint (Linux Mint 21 x86_64) on a Dell Latitude 5591. After this, with any video file, when pausing then unpausing after a few seconds (10+), the playback continues, but there are 1s pauses in the audio in the first seconds, about 4 gaps. It's around 2s sound, 2s gap and so on.

Tried with integrated speakers and with headphones, same result. This didn't happen before the Linux update.

Figured it was a Linux sound change, that it might turn the sound off to save power, but I cannot reproduce with its other player, Celluloid.

When another sound is in the background (very low volume brown noise on Youtube) this does not reproduce.

This reproduces with any video, from what I saw, no matter the codec or video size.
